A Madison Central 8th grader will be on the national stage Sunday.
Kennedi Sanders is set to compete in the Adidas Boost Games in Boston.
She'll race in the Dream 100 against the best high school sprinters in the nation.
Sanders won the 6A 100 meter state title earlier this month with a time of 11.94 seconds.
She described the moment when she received the invite from Adidas.
"At first I didn't believe it. I actually thought my mom and my coach were playing a prank on me," Sanders said. "In Boston, my number one thing that I'm going to do is have fun. I know these girls are going to be the best competition."
