According to his owner, Patricia Wolcott, she heard a bump on the door early on Memorial Day morning. She opened the door and saw a very excited Buddy wagging his tail to greet her.

"I truly believe someone had him and saw the segment and knew either I needed more or they couldn't keep him because so many knew his story. I would like to believe they had an American moment and decided this veteran truly needed her service dog" Wolcott happily said.

The dog had been missing for several days.

Wolcott suffers from depression and PTSD and Buddy is her companion who gets her through tough times. The dog and owner are happily reunited this Memorial Day.
