FOREST, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The military radar company, Raytheon, will be expanding its manufacturing production in Forest.

Thursday, Governor Phil Bryant announced that there will be a $100 million investment in the Scott County company.

The new facility will be used as a hub for missile and radar testing for the U.S.Navy.

"We expect the project to be immediately generating dozens of jobs for Mississippi citizens and Mississippi companies as they do the construction," said Raytheon Vice President Wesley Kremer. "It will be 25 to 30 full time positions that's expected to grow over the next several years up closer to 50. We are proud that our Forest facility will expand it's role in delivering the worlds most advanced radar capabilities."

The expansion of the state-of-the-art facility will be completed by 2020.
