Ole Miss golfer Braden Thornberry can add another accomplishment to his extensive ledger: U.S. Open qualifier.
The 2017 NCAA champion fired 66 at Ridgeway CC & 68 at Colonial CC to punch his ticket to Shinnecock Hills. Monday's 36 hole gauntlet is a part of a busy week for Thornberry. He'll tee it up Thursday in the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Braden finished tied for 4th in the PGA Tour event last year.
