In light of the recent deaths of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain, Clinical Therapist Richard McMullan from Region 8 Mental Health Center tells us signs we can look out for in people we know and how to get help. 

Anyone ever experiencing feelings that they may want to harm themselves is encouraged to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week: 1-800-273-8255.

An online chat also is available. 

Suicide rates inched up in nearly every U.S. state from 1999 through 2016, according to a new government report released Thursday.
