From 0 and 3 to Omaha, the diamond dogs are chomping at the bit to get to the college baseball world series.
Mississippi State will be flying off in the next couple of days and face the Washington Huskies on Saturday. This is the tenth time in program history that the bulldogs have reached the world series.
Coach Henderson had a heck of a season steering the ship in the right direction, and is hyped to get the show on the road.
""I'm glad that the kids are having a great time. I want them to be loose, I want them to be confident, I want them to play on the edge, I want them to like being in the dugout. all of those things come into play. I don't remember the exact moment that I learned of the value, and the importance of the rally banana. I guess we're attributing it to Jordan Westburg at this point. You know our fans have adopted it and they love it, so I'm all for it," said Henderson.
The game will be televised on ESPN on Saturday, at 7 p.m.
