Brandon High School baseball was looking for their best options at head coach a week ago, well they found their guy.
Daniel Best was named head coach for Brandon two day's ago, but today the 2018 state champion was introduced to the school and the team.
He led Vancleave to 29 wins and the 4A state title this season. Best was also an All-American closer at Southern Miss before going into the coaching ranks.
"Brandon is just always a good program in all sports. They compete at everything. Great tradition here, a lot of talent in this area. Talking to the assistants, looks like from the lineup they had this past year 6 or 7 guys that contributed a good bit are coming back, and then also have a lot of numbers on the roster. Older guys and younger guys, so I'm excited about getting in here, and getting to work with them in the weight room, getting stronger and putting in the work," said Best.
