Man who drowned in Reservoir leaves behind three children

OKOLONA, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A man who drowned at Ross Barnett Reservoir Sunday night left behind three children, ages 9-23. Forty-Six-year-old Charles Bogan's body was recovered from the reservoir Monday.

"Drowned, that's the last thing anyone would expect to hear," said Kenneth Mayfield, Bogan's uncle.

Reservoir Police say Bogan and another man fell off a Boat Sunday evening. The other man made it to shore, Bogan didn't.

Twelve years ago, he moved from Okolona to outside of Jackson where he worked as a robot technician at Nissan.

Mayfield describes Bogan as a very ambitious man and a hard worker.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 23 at 1 p.m. at Okolona High School Gymnasium. Burial will follow in Troy Mississippi.
