Bush acknowledges prescription choices "daunting" for seniors

SPRINGFIELD, Va. President Bush is acknowledging that seniors face "daunting" choices on Medicare's new prescription drug benefit.

But he's urging recipients to get help -- and not to give up on the coverage.

Enrollment for the plan began a month ago for coverage that kicks off in January. However, many seniors are having a hard time choosing among the different private plans being offered.

During a visit to a retirement home in suburban Virginia, Bush urged seniors to seek assistance if they're confused. He says plenty's available -- if not from family and friends, then from pharmacies, Medicare's Web site or church groups.
