I am Katisa DeAngela Haley and my Fiancé Henry Bryant Johnson. We are delighted to be considered for the Always and Forever contest. We became engaged on September 1, 2006. I am a student at Jackson State University were I am majoring in Elementary Education. My fiancé is an Assistant Band Director at Vicksburg High School. He is also a Grad Student at the University of Memphis, TN.
We have shared a courtship of six years and three months. Throughout the years, we have grown to love one another for who that person truly is. Although we have our ups and downs we have managed to have a secure relationship with each other and with God. I think that we have lasted so long because we know each other spiritually, mentally, and we love each other whole-heartedly. We are devoted members of our churches. I am a member of Rock Star Missionary Baptist Church in Brandon, MS and Bryant is a devoted member of Wells United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS.
We are most confident that our marriage will last. We know it will last base on our courtship and that we believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In saying that, we believe that the Lord has allowed us to learn each other throughout our courtship so there will be no surprises after we are married. We know each other's personalities, families, friends, and church families; some married couple can not say that about each other based on the divorce rate in United States today.
As a couple we think that we should be chosen because we have been together, dating longer than some marriages last. If we are chosen it would be a blessing to not only us but to our friends and families. We love each other and winning this contest would be the blessing we have been waiting for. We are having difficulty planning a wedding on one income. We have faith that the Lord will see us through this difficult time in our lives and pray that the judges will find it in their hearts to help a couple in love with each other and in love with God.
