Mike Evans

Mike has been a staffer with WLBT since 1984. He has worked at 3 of Liberty Broadcast Group's stations, including KLTV in Tyler, TX., where his immediate family continues to reside.

Mike is a five-time photographer of the year (Associated Press) and currently serves as Asst. Chief Photographer.

He has three wonderful children who all attend public school in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

He attends Pinelake Baptist Church. Mike is proud to call Mississippi home, and is most proud of the positive impact he has had in the Jackson community. He says: "My proudest moments have been the ones that have effected change for the better, the stories that help make the difference in the lives of mainstream Mississippi."

Mike was recognized nationally for his investigative work in a neighborhood around a downtown Jackson school plagued with rampant drug dealing, prostitution, and all of the detrimental effects of those lifestyles. Mike also enjoys shooting sporting events, is an avid golfer, and enjoys working in and around his home.
