Talk Back 3: Hinds County/Jackson Crime

An INS guy told me last fall (2006) that Mississippi had only 7000 law enforcement people in the ENTIRE state of Mississippi. That includes highway patrol, drug enforcement, local and county cops, etc. We need 70,000!!!! The city of Jackson needs not less than 2000 until they get their crime under control, and the metro counties (including Hinds, Rankin, Madison, Warren and Copiah) need at least 2-3 times the number enforcement they have. Next, they need to fasten them up in wire enclosures camping out in tents like they do in Arizona, if the sorry Board of Supervisors and the incompetent mayor can't get more enclosures IMMEDIATELY. Citizens are ready to shoot on sight when they see the crime "stereotypes" heading their way. You should have a long segment on things NOT TO DO anywhere in Jackson, like carry a purse, like travel alone,  like  not talking on cell phones while out of car walking around ANYWHERE, like keeping your car locked at all times, like avoiding most places in Jackson. Also, replace the the preceived-to-be-totally-incompetent Jackson police chief with somebody the crooks in Jackson will take notice of. They look at her as put in office so Melton can run around pretending to be the police chief, not as somebody who can enforce the law and come up with a crime enforcement strategy. It may be a totally wrong image, but it's there all the same.
