Bryant & Ross Show United Front

Republicans got together Wednesday to offer a united front in the November general election campaign. Following a hard fought race for Lt. Governor between State Auditor Phil Bryant and State Senator Charlie Ross, filled with negative ads. They came together to join hands for the race ahead.

Phil Bryant hugged the outgoing Lt. Governor Amy Tuck, who could not run for re-election because of term limits, and also hugged the man he had defeated.

Bryant described Governor Haley Barbour as the best governor in the United States and with state Republican party chairman Jim Herring looking on, vowed to join with ross for the November general election campaign.

Ross said, "I can't tell you how proud i am to be here today, to endorse Phil Bryant for Lt. Governor. He is the right man for Mississippi, because Mississippi needs a conservative Lt. Governor, and he is the only one in this race who is a conservative."

Bryant said, "Charlie was kind enough last night to help, the process, of bringing us all together. We are going to continue that, we are going to go forward together and I cannot do it without my good friend senator Charlie Ross."

Ross endorsed Bryant and promised to do everything in his power to get him elected.
