After more than 40 years in Jackson television, WLBT's Jack Hobbs is ready to sign off.
On the morning newscast on August 11, 2008, Jack announced that he has decided to retire.
He came to WLBT in 1975 to anchor what was then a 15-minute morning newscast. It was supposed to be temporary -- but 33 years later, he's still at it.
He isn't fully retiring. Jack has accepted a job working with special-needs children in the Madison County school district.
His last day on the air will be Friday, August 15.
